Knowledge Transformation
Knowledge transformation has been enabled by Internet and Mobile device proliferation, with Big Data and Analytics in early 21st century decades. But this era of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning (AIML) & Deep Learning (DL) has taken us beyond hosted (SAAS) Applications in Cloud. The AIML driven Edges for Private Enterprise and Government has adapted flexible Large Language Models like OpenAI, Vertex AI, Foundational AI/ML Capability, Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) Models, Re-enforced Learning in different domains.
Clearly Digital & Operational Transforms have undergone changes due to AIML with DevOps, MLOps and blurring the line between design, workload testing and deployments in to standard pipelines and workflows to major automations. The rapid modularization of Software through descriptive w3c / web artifacts (WASM) has shaken the industry to keep pace with changing times. Software running ahead of Standards had significant relevance for hardware & infrastructure challenged to deliver the real time latencies, throughput needed for Industrial IOT, beyond 5G, IOT, Neuromorphic computing applications, Digital Twins etc. Compute and Communication acceleration is lead by High Performance Computing (HPC) but still remains a Cloud phenomenon. Distributed Computing at Edge seems redefining MEC and getting newer M-plane Control for both Optical and Radio Resource Management needed for near real time delivery for Ultra low latency applications.
On the optimization territory the billions of parameters have become a norm for Large Language Models (LLMs) and Standard CAP theory still require tradeoff between Consistency, Availability and Performance. Overall the AIML will need ethical and fair use to avoid causing Safety and Security concerns. Globally all nations are trying to find how to collaborate, communicate and commit to Global Sustainability to meet key targets and matrices proposed and whetted by different stakeholders.
